The Glastonbury Knitting Co. Mill dates back to 1851 at this location at Manchester Green, however tho original structure was destroyed by fire ten years later. The building pictured here was built after the fire and operated as a woolen knitting mill until the 1920's. Occupied by various tenants thereafter, it now stands vacant, awaiting rehabilitation into apartments for Seniors at a location convenient to the Manchester Senior Center, just down the street.
