on November 23, 2013The Manchester Area Council of Churches and the Manchester High School music department held a concert to benefit victims of a recent fire which severely damaged a building on Main Street in Manchester, CT. As a result of the fire, two businesses were lost and a number of tenants were made homeless. The performers included bands, an orchestra, a vocal group and vocalists from the School, as well as a barbershop quartet and a vocal group from the University of Connecticut. MACC provided a vehicle to collect food and donations of cash to aid the cause.
