    An opening reception was held at the Lutz Childrens' Museum in Manchester, Connecticut to exhibit flat steel sculptures created by David Hayes, an internationally known artist, currently a resident of Coventry, Connecticut. The award-winning artist whose works are found in the collections of area museums and throughout the country and who has exhibited throughout the world had the opportunity to visit with many friends, neighbors and family who attended. Hazel Lutz. one of the founders of the Lutz Museum taught the artist in fifth grade in Manchester and substantially motivated him to embark on his hugely successful career spanning many decades.
