Making Strides Against Breast Cancer -- Kickoff 08-20-13

The American Cancer Society held its annual Kickoff Breakfast at the Sheraton Hotel in Rocky Hill, CT, in preparation for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk event to be held in Hartford's Bushnell Park on Sunday, October 20. The group in attendance had the opportunity to socialize with friends and hear a number of speakers tell of their personal experiences with cancer and of the many efforts being made by the Society to find a cure for the disease and to raise funds to support these efforts. The attendees responded by volunteering to participate in the programs and to increase fund-raising efforts in preparation for the October event.
